Chloe Ward Smith


Chloe is a Hove based yoga teacher with a mindful yet fun approach, sharing the exploration of movement together with conscious breath. Her creative outlook makes her teaching style popular with a range of students, and her focus on mindfulness and fun leaves students feeling invigorated and relaxed, whilst allowing them to practise responsibly in their own bodies. 

Chloe was introduced to yoga and meditation at a young age, and enjoyed a background in a range of styles including Hatha and Ashtanga, and completed her teacher training with Trimurti Yoga School in Goa, India. Today Chloe combines yoga teaching alongside work within Illustration and Design, and enjoys the unique approach to life that this mix of work brings.

Clare Maddelena


  Clare is the founder of LushTums which she created back in 2007 after the birth of her first child. She has been teaching yoga since 2003 yet realising the benefits her yoga practice had on her pregnancy and birth her priorities changed and she decided to focus her career on her passions and dedicated her time to becoming a specialist in the field of pregnancy birth and motherhood. During this time Clare became a birth doula and antenatal educator and since then has personally taught and supported thousands of women; teaching them pregnancy yoga, birth preparation, postnatal yoga and women’s (or mother's) yoga. Something she continues to find hugely rewarding. After becoming a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and a registered Antenatal Educator and Birth Doula with FEDANT (the UK's leading body for antenatal education and midwifery), she decided she was ready to share her experience and knowledge with others - and LushTums was finally born! http://www.lushtums.co.uk/brightonandhove 

Sarah Wheeler



Sarah graduated in 2019 from the Sundara Yoga Teacher Training where she was able to study a varied selection of Yoga styles, but with a focus on Hatha Yoga combined with some classical styles and restorative yoga. She is also a Reiki Master and Teacher and will be looking forward to combining some energy work and Reiki into Yoga classes. She is delighted to have the opportunity to teach and welcome students at Upstairs at Six.

Ciara Lily


Yoga has changed Ciara's life in more ways than she could ever imagine. Wanting to approach healing her body hollistally, yoga became a form of therapy for Rheumathoid arthiritis. It wasn't untill she deepened her personal practice that she  became aware of how movement was the medicine she really needed. 

She also discovered the magical thing about yoga is that it is unique to each and everyone of us. And that physical asanas are just a small part of yoga. It is an open ended spiritual practice. A union of body and mind. She feels yoga has the ability to calm the mind, body and soul. 

Ciaras journey has inspired her to teach and share yoga as a path to health, healing and happiness and cannot wait to share it with you.

Cat Duval



Cat's joy is sharing the power of connection and enabling people to create greater intimacy in their relationships, as well as to themselves to embody lives full of freedom and expression.

Cat is a Senior Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance having taught over 6,000 hours in the last 8 years. She is a qualified Unity Partner Yoga, Sun Moon Partner Yoga and Acroyoga Teacher and Thai Massage Therapist. She has a background teaching Hatha Yoga and Mindfulness as well as NLP and Hypnotherapy. She uses all these tools and inspiration from these disciplines to bring power to her work as well as her sensitivity to the people in the room and awareness to offer a safe, nurturing and loving space to open into the heart and flow from there.

Sarah Pfitzner


Sarah is a Pilates & meditation teacher, an Embody Love Movement® Facilitator Trainer and she co-owns I Love Pilates in London. She has always been passionate about contributing in ways that make positive change in the world, however it was through a severe life-changing illness that she moved away from her design background and began to really connect with her life purpose, to empower others  to connect with the best version of themselves possible. 

She discovered and fell in love with Pilates, having experienced firsthand just how powerful and transformative the method and movement as a whole can be, and so completed her teacher training with Body Control Pilates in London, in order to share this wonderful gift with others. Her studies in movement, health, NLP, psychology, mindfulness & meditation all play an integral role in her work with clients. 

In 2015 she trained with Dr Melody Moore, the founder of the Embody Love Movement®, a non-profit whose mission is to empower girls and women to connect with their true worth and purpose and contribute to meaningful change in the world and Sarah now offers ELM workshops and trainings in the UK and around the world. 

She is currently studying for an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and also as a TRE® Provider.

Sher Benjamin



Sher is passionate about sharing the joy of yoga for the body heart and mind.

Her journey began many years ago on a retreat in Ibiza where Sher experienced yoga as a journey of healing, transformation and connection. On returning to the UK she left a career in fashion to devote herself to training as an accredited teacher in mindful flow yoga with Be yoga.

Sher believes that yoga is for everyone and her classes are designed for all ages and levels. With a strong focus on listening to the wisdom of the body Sher guides the class so that safe exploration, release, awareness and nourishment are brought with kindness to the whole self.

Sher is a 200 hour yoga teacher accredited with Yoga Alliance International.

Ellie Priest


Ellie is the founder of Brighton Pilates. Her Pilates journey started initially from her love of dance and from this stemmed her interest in movement, theory and exercise. Ellie became very passionate about the Pilates method at a young age as she used Pilates to supplement her dance training. It was during her years of studying Dance at Roehampton University that she discovered her love for teaching and the more scientific aspect of dance/movement. It was after graduating at University that she went onto study Pilates at Body Control Pilates in London. Now 10 years later she continues to teach and loves nothing more than helping people to achieve their goals in Pilates. She is now Brighton's first HIT Pilates and Classical Pilates teacher.


Siobhan Swider



Siobhan has always had a strong interest and passion in alternative therapies and the connection between the mind and body. Whilst performing as a full time harpist in London, Siobhan furthered her studies and qualified as an Acupuncturist gaining a Bsc Honours from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture. Siobhan has also been practicing yoga for 20 years and continued her studies and gained her 200 hr Yoga Alliance teaching qualification in Bali Ubud, Indonesia. 

Bridging the links between movement and sound, Siobhan’s journey began after attending a yoga class to then experience a Crystal Alchemy Sound Bath from a friend in London. The sensations that were felt were profound not only on a physical level through tingling sensations, but also feeling clear and light on a mental, emotional and spiritual level! From this moment onwards, she realised that combining movement and pure frequencies had a transformational effect on the subtle body and was intrigued to explore these modalities together. Siobhan’s journey into sound was also a journey into stillness. From living a fast pace and stressful lifestyle in busy London, she had the desire to slow down and look after herself. This also lead to studying Yin Yoga, the practice of stillness and surrender where we release into connective tissues, a place we hold our emotional stories, stress and trauma.

Yin Yoga and Sound Healing allows us to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system so we can relax, restore and feel safe. These two amazing healing practices when combined together, have profound healing effects that have been transformational for Siobhan and her students.

As a Sound Therapist, Siobhan performs Gong, Alchemy Crystal Bowl Sound Baths around the U.K and Europe. Incorporating her Harp with various other London and UK Sound Therapists, Musicians, Kirtan leaders and Yoga Instructors. She combines Sound Healing and Sound Massage private treatments. She also teaches Yin and Restorative Yoga with Sound healing in Brighton and Hove.

Emma Bohan



After qualifying in Swedish massage and Anatomy and Physiology in Bristol 2006, Emma moved to Australia and worked there as a therapist learning invaluable knowledge about health and wellbeing. After two years she travelled through Asia and gained an insight into the Eastern way of life and rituals, having alternative therapies in each country that she travelled through. On her return to the UK she moved to Brighton and has since trained in Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, Bamboo, Thai Yoga, Reiki and Crystal Healing as well as becoming a certified Meditation teacher.

Emma is passionate about the cycle of pregnancy and birth and after qualifying in Pregnancy Massage she trained in London with Katherine Graves, the founder of KG Hypnobirthing and qualified as an instructor in both Hypnobirthing and later in Baby Massage. She has gone on to teach many women and birth partners how pregnancy and childbirth can be an empowering and positive experience. Christine Chessman


  Chrissie is a trained fitness instructor in aerobics, dance-fit, core stability and post-natal exercise. She works part-time for a small local business and is mum to two beautiful and sparky little girls. Her real passion is promoting positive body image and to that end, teaching classes where women can strive for strength in mind and body and where they can feel comfortable in a group exercise environment.  A few years ago Chrissie worked as a volunteer for BEAT – the UK charity for beating Eating Disorders and since then feels very strongly about promoting a positive body image for her girls and for those who come to her classes. She believes in exercising to build up fitness and muscular strength as well as boosting self-esteem and confidence.  Chrissie says "I am hoping to help women understand that rushing to the nearest military boot camp or running a marathon is NOT the answer. Rather a holistic approach to exercise, the core, breathing and the pelvic floor is crucial to whole body fitness and health" Testimonial… “Core restore was amazing, I have spent years trying to work my lower abs with no joy, woke up this morning after yesterday’s class with Christine and feeling them now! Deborah Brown


 Deborah is a UK Advanced Certified Provider of TRE® (tension releasing exercises) and works one to one and with groups in Brighton & Hove. She also assists on the UK TRE Teaching Team and provides supervision to trainees.

Deborah has over 12 years experience working with adults, babies and children as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioner in the Brighton and Hove area and more recently has trained in Brainspotting.

Deborah's belief is that to heal we need to deepen our relationship to the body. She works with body/brain based therapies that turn down, or reboot, the parts of the nervous system that condition how we respond to stress, perceived or real.

Her passion is to empower the body to shift towards health by releasing tension and restoring balance. As we learn to switch off the stress response and rebalance the nervous system our health changes both mentally and physically, allowing a deeper connection to ourselves, others and the way we meet the world. Our quality of life improves, health conditions shift and we can experience healthy emotion without becoming overwelmed.

She is touched to be working with others on their journey's exploring how it is to trust in the wisdom of the body.

Stress, trauma and health conditions do not have to be barriers that dampen our sense of aliveness, connection, joy, and presence. The body knows how to restore, we just need to trust in it

Lauren Azor


Qualified in India, Lauren is a playful teacher, who is keen to share her love for going upside down through yoga. She is also an AcroYoga International teacher and a RYT200 Yoga teacher, who has taught Yoga in the UK & India. She currently teaches weekly classes in Brighton, workshops in various cities and has trained at European Acrobatic conventions.

Jenny Dunn


Jenny has extensive experience as a personal trainer, helping clients with injuries, postural and occupational issues. She first started practising Yoga 20 years ago, recently completing her Hatha Yoga teacher training.

She is passionate about making yoga accessible for all, regardless of age, race, gender, ability, size, shape and flexibility - in other words, yoga for EVERY body!
